Newark’s Neese does us proud

Congratulations to Laura Neese, Newark native, to have finished the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. Laura pulled into Nome last Thursday in 42nd place after 10 days on the nearly 1,000-mile trail while there were still many veteran mushers behind her.

That is quite an accomplishment for this 20-year-old young lady who was the youngest in a field of 72.
