Ex-Buckeye indicted on 3 rape counts
A Franklin County grand jury on Thursday indicted former Ohio State University running back Bri’onte Dunn on three felony rape charges.
Columbus police said Dunn, 24, of Alliance, asked a female acquaintance for a ride home about 4:15 a.m. Aug. 20. She drove him to her home and went to bed.
About 15 minutes later, she told police, Dunn got into bed with her and began pulling at her night clothes, kissing her and fondling her. She told him to get away. She said he later returned and held her down, forcing her to have sex with him three times, police said.
She went to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center later that day and reported the rape.
Dunn, a backup running back who played for the Buckeyes from 2012 to 2015, is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 16.
