Snyder loses, but wrestlers beat Michigan

Heavyweigh­t Kyle Snyder lost his first match of the season, falling 3-1 to Adam Koon of Michigan, but the second-ranked Buckeyes held on for an 18-15 victory at No. 4 Michigan in a Big Ten match.

Nathan Tomasello won by technical fall over Drew Mattin at 125 to put the Buckeyes up 5-0. Joey McKenna (141), Keshawn Hayes (149) and Myles Martin (184) won decisions, and Kollin Moore (197) scored a 17-6 major decision over Kevin Beazley to give the Buckeyes (13-1, 8-1) an 18-12 lead. Koon improved to 22-0 for Michigan (9-3, 6-2) with the win over Snyder.
