Tay­lor, DeWine su­per PACs duel

Su­per PACs sup­port­ing the du­el­ing Repub­li­can gu­ber­na­to­rial cam­paigns of Mike DeWine and Mary Tay­lor each spent more than $900,000 in the first three months of the year.

The su­per PAC sup­port­ing Tay­lor's cam­paign re­ceived a lone $850,000 do­na­tion from a non­profit, while the su­per PAC sup­port­ing DeWine in­curred nearly $1 mil­lion in debts ahead of the May 8 pri­mary.

On­ward Ohio, a po­lit­i­cal ac­tion com­mit­tee orig­i­nally formed by Lt. Gov. Tay­lor to sup­port her can­di­dacy be­fore it was for­mally an­nounced, re­ceived $850,000 on March 16 from the In­de­pen­dence and Free­dom Net­work,
