Woman in Germantown shooting dies
A 38-year-old woman involved in a Friday domestic violence incident in Germantown has died in what police are now investigating as a possible murder-suicide, city officials said Monday.
Police identified the woman as Karri Baker, who died Sunday night from wounds she received in the Friday morning incident at 7691 Elm Leaf Drive. Matthew Bashaw, 36, who was involved in the incident, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was found in the driveway and a semi-automatic pistol was found under his leg.
Baker was found in the garage.
Both victims suffered head wounds.
Baker’s body was turned over to the Shelby County Medical Examiner’s office.
