Up­per Perk gets even with Boy­er­town

The Up­per Perkiomen foot­ball team waited a whole sea­son to get back at Boy­er­town.

And on Fri­day night, the Tribe made the most of it.

Up­per Perkiomen jumped scored five unan­swered touch­downs out of the gates on the way to a 35-8 win over the Bears in both teams’ sea­son fi­nale.

For Up­per Perk (1-4 Pi­o­neer Ath­letic Con­fer­ence Fron­tier; 3-7 over­all), the win set­tles the score from a 37-12 loss to the Bears in Au­gust to start the year. Boy­er­town’s sea­son comes to a close 1-9 over­all (0-5 PAC Lib­erty), their only win com­ing against Up­per Perk.

Luke Whary and Tyrese Reid com­bined for 100 yards rush­ing and four touch­downs on the night.

Whary rushed it 11 times for 64 yards and three touch­downs while Reid had 42 yards and a touch­down.

Quar­ter­back Tyler We­ber com­pleted eight of 15 pass­ing at­tempt for 133 yards, in­clud­ing a 54-yard scor­ing con­nec­tion with Max Kra­to­hwill.

Boy­er­town run­ning back Jamie Moc­cia had 45 yards rush­ing on 11 car­ries. Zachary Davis had six car­ries for 20 yards, to go along with a six-yard run for the Bears’ lone score. He also pulled in two catches for 30 yards re­ceiv­ing. Quar­ter­back Ay­den Mathias was held to 16 yards pass­ing while com­plet­ing three of 10 at­tempts.
