Volunteers help spruce up Edgewood Cemetery
Volunteers were out bright and early Oct. 20 in an effort to help clean up Edgewood Cemetery. Organizers from Pottstown CARES and Hobart’s Run planned a communitywide “Stop Complaining, Start Caring for Edgewood Cemetery Day.” Dozens of volunteers showed up at the 12-acre property to help with raking, weed-whacking, mowing, planting flowers, and participating in other improvement projects while learning about the cemetery and its fascinating background from local historians.
