West Potts­grove man faces prison for drug traf­fick­ing

NOR­RIS­TOWN >> A West Potts­grove man’s il­le­gal drug ac­tiv­ity in the town­ship and in Pottstown has ended with his be­ing sent to prison.

Fred­er­ick LeCount Jr., 44, of the first block of West Vine Street, was sen­tenced in Mont­gomery County Court to 2-to-6-years in a state cor­rec­tional fa­cil­ity af­ter he pleaded guilty to charges of pos­ses­sion with in­tent to de­liver metham­phetamine and pos­ses­sion with in­tent to de­liver syn­thetic cannabi­noids in con­nec­tion with mul­ti­ple in­ci­dents that oc­curred in West Potts­grove and the bor­ough be­tween June and Oc­to­ber 2017.

The sen­tence was im­posed by Judge Steven T. O’Neill, who ac­cepted a plea agree­ment.

Court doc­u­ments in­di­cate an in­ves­ti­ga­tion of LeCount be­gan in June 2017 when an in­for­mant work­ing with po­lice ar­ranged to pur­chase syn­thetic cannabi­noids from LeCount. The in­for­mant met with LeCount on at least three oc­ca­sions be­tween June and July at lo­ca­tions in the bor­ough and LeCount sold the in­for­mant the syn­thetic drugs in ex­change for cash, ac­cord­ing to the crim­i­nal com­plaint.
