James O. Fra­zier

James O. Fra­zier, 82, of Cov­ing­ton, died July 28 at New­ton Med­i­cal Cen­ter. The son of the late Os­car Lee Fra­zier and Alma B. Cog­gins Fra­zier, he was born in 1925 in DeKalb County. Mr. Fra­zier served in the U.S. Navy and was a sales­man for Tele­dine Con­ti­nen­tal Mo­tors. He was a mem­ber of Zion Bap­tist Church. He loved his church and its mem­bers and was a rail­road en­thu­si­ast. Mr. Fra­zier had many friends through­out the county. He was pre­ceded in death by wife of 54 years Sarah Elis­a­beth Fra­zier.

Sur­viv­ing are daugh­ter Elis­a­beth Gul­lion of Cony­ers; sons and daugh­ters-in-law Dwight and Myrna Fra­zier of Cony­ers; Charles and Leila Fra­zier of Litho­nia; brother Ransford Fra­zier of Deer­field, Ill.; seven grand­chil­dren; three great-grand­chil­dren; sev­eral nieces and neph­ews.

Funeral ser­vices were held at 4 p.m. July 31, at Zion Bap­tist Church with the Rev. Reese San­ders of­fi­ci­at­ing. In­ter­ment fol­lowed at Zion Bap­tist Church Ceme­tery. Flow­ers ac­cepted or do­na­tions may be made to Zion Bap­tist Church in me­mory of James Fra­zier for the Reese San­ders Fam­ily Life Cen­ter.
