Sunday at 5 p. m. six churches will come together for the first “ United Praise Event.”

Christian Nash, director of The Church at Covington’s art department, said members of her church

plays, poetry and singing and signing, is open to anyone who wants to attend. Adult and youth groups will perform from all of the churches.

She said the idea came from a collaborative effort at Easter. Members of the Church at Covington art department joined with members of Tabernacle of Praise to perform an elaborate, two- hour passion play.

“ It was so awesome to work with people and do drama,” Nash said. “ That’s our passion.”

Nash expects the event to last approximately two hours and will include a 10 minute intermission. She said refreshments will be made available immediately after the service for patrons to enjoy while engaging in Christian fellowship.

“ The purpose of the event is to be able to have a Sunday night service,” Nash said, “ and come together with our brothers and sisters and other churches to worship Christ.”
