New­ton Theatre Pro­gram stages first pro­duc­tion

“Ara­bella’s Lit­tle Se­cret” to run Nov. 13 - 17

The New­ton Theatre Pro­gram will present its first play at 8 p.m. Nov 13-17 at the So­cial Cir­cle Theater.

The com­pany will per­form “Ara­bella’s Lit­tle Se­cret” by award-win­ning play­wright and screen­writer Joshua Corin.

Corin’s char­ac­ter Ara­bella is re­garded as an­gelic by her par­ents, who be­lieve she works on Wall Street.

When her fa­ther ar­rives unan­nounced at her apart­ment with a sur­prise of his own, hi­lar­ity en­sues.

Corin is an in­struc­tor of English and theatre at the New­ton Cam­pus of Ge­or­gia Perime­ter Col­lege.

His plays have been pro­duced in New York, Bos­ton and Dal­las, his screen­play “Wind­fall” won first place in the Open Door Con­test co- spon­sored by Di­men­sion Films, his screen­play “Snowjob” is un­der op­tion by Sen­tinel En­ter­tain­ment and his first novel “Nu­clear Win­ter Won­der­land” will be pub­lished by Ku­nati in fall 2008.

The play has ma­ture themes.
