Jesse Harvel Boyer

Jesse Harvel Boyer, 59, died Nov. 14. Mr. Boyer, a na­tive and res­i­dent of Milledgeville, had re­cently made his home in Cov­ing­ton. He was a grad­u­ate of Jones County High School and Ge­or­gia Col­lege. He re­tired from the State of Ge­or­gia De­part­ment of Ju­ve­nile Jus­tice and was work­ing as an in­ves­ti­ga­tor in the Oc­mul­gee Ju­di­cial Dis­trict Cir­cuit At­tor­ney’s Of­fice. He was a mem­ber of First Bap­tist Church, Milledgeville.

Sur­viv­ing are wife Al­li­son Moore Boyer; son Rus­sell J. Boyer (Susan); daugh­ter El­iz­a­beth Boyer-Rogers (David), all of Cov­ing­ton; sis­ters Sher­rie Sawyer of Milledgeville, Celia Boyer of Nashville, Tenn; grand­chil­dren Is­abelle and Ad­di­son Rogers, Emma and Jack Boyer.

Funeral ser­vices will be held Satur­day, Nov. 17, at 2 p.m. at First Bap­tist Church of Milledgeville with the Rev. Reid Buck­elew and Alling Jones of­fi­ci­at­ing. In­ter­ment will fol­low at Bald­win Me­mo­rial Gar­dens. The fam­ily will re­ceive friends at Moores Funeral Home to­day, Nov. 16, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. In lieu of flow­ers, con­tri­bu­tions may be made to Ge­or­gia Sher­iff’s Boy’s Ranch, Ge­or­gia Bap­tist Chil­dren’s Home or Chil­dren’s Health Care at Egel­ston Hospi­tal.
