El­iz­a­beth Thrailkill

El­iz­a­beth Mor­ri­son Thrailkill died Nov. 4. The daugh­ter of the late Arthur and Estella Mor­ri­son, she was born in Clarksville, Tenn., in 1913. She was raised in Danville, Ill., and grad­u­ated from Danville High School. She joined Shiloh Bap­tist Church at a young age and joined Peek’s Chapel Church in Cony­ers as an adult.

For­merly mar­ried to the late Theodore Robin­son, she mar­ried Joseph Thrailkill in 1945. He pre­ceded her in death. She worked at the Vet­er­ans Hospi­tal in Danville and re­tired from the Vet­er­ans Re­search Hospi­tal, Chicago, as a food ser­vice su­per­vi­sor. She then moved to Cony­ers to live with her daugh­ter and son- in- law. Ms. Thrailkill loved her fam­ily and set good ex­am­ples for her chil­dren, rais­ing them with Chris­tian val­ues.

Her fa­vorite pas­times were cook­ing, bak­ing, trav­el­ing and keep­ing her home open to en­ter­tain fam­ily and friends. Her life was ded­i­cated to her fam­ily and help­ing oth­ers. She was pre­ceded in death by son Michael, three sis­ters and three brothers.

Sur­viv­ing are sons Joseph ( Dorothy) Robin­son of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Barry ( Eva) Thrailkill of Olympia Fields, Ill.; daugh­ter Pa­tri­cia Ged­dis of Cony­ers; grand­sons Brett Thrailkill of Mal­ibu, Calif.; Brian ( Mara) Thrailkill of Home­wood, Ill., Ni­cholas ( She­herezade) Robin­son of Stone Moun­tain; great­grand­chil­dren Brit­tany Thrailkill of High­land, Ind., Alex and Aidan Thrailkill of Home­wood, Hezekiah, Jaylynn and Jes­sica Robin­son of Stone Moun­tain; spe­cial cousin Martha Timms of Danville; a host of lov­ing nieces and neph­ews.

Funeral ser­vices were held at noon Nov. 8 at Peeks Chapel Bap­tist Church with the Rev. James H. Bat­tle of­fi­ci­at­ing.

In­ter­ment fol­lowed Nov. 12 at 11: 30 a. m. at Spring Hill Ceme­tery, Danville.
