City of Oxford Called Meeting
The city of Oxford will hold a special called meeting immediately following the work session for an executive session to discuss personnel.

Newton County Navigator Workshop
The Newton County Navigator Team will hold an “all About Me” workshop at the YMCA (old Kids Zone Building) at 6:45 p.m. The topic is make and take a scrapbook to showcase your special needs child. The Polar Express Comes
to the Library
The Kiwanis Club of Covington and the Friends of the Newton County Library are joining forces to bring the Polar Express to Covington. Kiwanis member and avid Lionel modeler and collector Richard Rawlins has built a model train layout featuring the Polar Express train. The layout will be on display in the library’s children’s room Nov. 26 through Dec. 8. The layout and train will be raffled off Dec. 20 to support the Kiwanis Club’s Joe Croom Scholarship fund and to raise funds for children’s programs at the Newton County Library. Raffle tickets are $5 each and are b eing sold by Kiwanis Club members.
Covington City Council Budget Work Session
The Covington City Council will hold a Budget Work Session in the Conference Room, City Hall, 2194 Emory St., at 6 p.m.
County Industrial Development Authority
There will be a called meeting of the Newton County Industrial Development Authority at 8 a.m. at the Newton County Chamber of Commerce, 2100 Washington St.
