City of Ox­ford Called Meet­ing

The city of Ox­ford will hold a spe­cial called meet­ing im­me­di­ately fol­low­ing the work ses­sion for an ex­ec­u­tive ses­sion to dis­cuss per­son­nel.

New­ton County Nav­i­ga­tor Work­shop

The New­ton County Nav­i­ga­tor Team will hold an “all About Me” work­shop at the YMCA (old Kids Zone Build­ing) at 6:45 p.m. The topic is make and take a scrap­book to show­case your spe­cial needs child. The Po­lar Ex­press Comes

to the Li­brary

The Ki­wa­nis Club of Cov­ing­ton and the Friends of the New­ton County Li­brary are join­ing forces to bring the Po­lar Ex­press to Cov­ing­ton. Ki­wa­nis mem­ber and avid Lionel mod­eler and col­lec­tor Richard Rawl­ins has built a model train lay­out fea­tur­ing the Po­lar Ex­press train. The lay­out will be on dis­play in the li­brary’s chil­dren’s room Nov. 26 through Dec. 8. The lay­out and train will be raf­fled off Dec. 20 to sup­port the Ki­wa­nis Club’s Joe Croom Schol­ar­ship fund and to raise funds for chil­dren’s pro­grams at the New­ton County Li­brary. Raf­fle tick­ets are $5 each and are b eing sold by Ki­wa­nis Club mem­bers.

Cov­ing­ton City Coun­cil Bud­get Work Ses­sion

The Cov­ing­ton City Coun­cil will hold a Bud­get Work Ses­sion in the Con­fer­ence Room, City Hall, 2194 Emory St., at 6 p.m.

County In­dus­trial De­vel­op­ment Author­ity

There will be a called meet­ing of the New­ton County In­dus­trial De­vel­op­ment Author­ity at 8 a.m. at the New­ton County Cham­ber of Com­merce, 2100 Wash­ing­ton St.
