Alone for Thanks­giv­ing: The New­ton County An­i­mal Shel­ter’s pet of the week is a mixed breed dog, brown, black and gray, about three months old and very cute. Also avail­able for adop­tion are an older Pekingese, tri col­ored; an adult neutered male white poo­dle; a Chi­huahua, adult; a border col­lie mix, three months old, black and white; a Dachs­hund mix, adult; a mixed breed adult dog, brown; a friendly white and brown adult mixed breed; a fat Dachs­hund, adult; a Bos­ton ter­rier mix, seven months old, brindle; an adult border col­lie mix; an Aussie mix, medium length hair, red, very pretty; two ter­rier mix dogs; a black adult chow mix; a black Lab, adult; and a white and brown lab mix. The shel­ter also has cats and kit­tens for adop­tion.
