The young men, who were all wearing bandannas on the lower halves of their faces, then reportedly struck the 71- year- old victim’s head. While the victim was on the ground, the robbers took $ 3,000 from the man’s pocket before running around the right side of the home fleeing the scene.
Watterson said the investigation is still ongoing.
On Thanksgiving Day, Greg Durdan was killed in automobile accident Watterson said Durdan, of Mansfield, crossed into the eastbound lane while driving down County Line Road and collided head- on with another vehicle.
He was transported to Newton Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. Watterson said the driver of the other automobile was not injured in the crash.
