Mr. Daniel M. Clower, 90, of Cov­ing­ton, died Nov. 27. He was born in 1917 in Gwin­nett County. Mr. Clower was a mem­ber of Cov­ing­ton First United Methodist Church, a grad­u­ate of the Univer­sity of Ge­or­gia and a vet­eran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, serv­ing in World War II. He worked at Ginn Mo­tor Co., was a man­ager of Meadors Freight Lines and owned Joe’s Auto Align­ment in Decatur. Mr. Clower was past-pres­i­dent of the Cov­ing­ton Ro­tary Club, served twice as pres­i­dent of the Cov­ing­tonNew­ton County Cham­ber of Com­merce, was past com­man­der of Amer­i­can le­gion Post No. 32 and was past ex­alted ruler of Cov­ing­ton Elks Club No. 1806.

Sur­viv­ing are son Daniel Carl Clower of Cony­ers; daugh­ter Lynn and Der­rell Carnes of Cov­ing­ton; grand­chil­dren Rod and Wendy Carnes, Carl Clower, Sarah Clower; great­grand­chil­dren Talea Clower, Califf Carnes, Colin Carnes, Caden Carnes, Devin Clower and Danielle Clower.

Grave­side ser­vices will be held to­day, Nov. 30, at 3 p.m. at Lawn­wood Me­mo­rial Park with the Rev. John What­ley of­fi­ci­at­ing. Vis­i­ta­tion will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. to­day, Nov. 30, at the funeral home.
