Weiner faces season-ending knee surgery for Falcons
FLOWERY BRANCH — Atlanta Falcons right tackle Todd Weiner is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.
The team placed the 10year veteran on injured reserve Thursday.
Weiner, who played in seven games, is the third starting tackle to face season-ending knee surgery. The Falcons (3-8) now have 12 players on injured reserve.
Weiner has started 85 games in six seasons with Atlanta. Gandy, a second-year Falcon in his 14th NFL season, made 94 straight starts and appeared in 205 career games.
