Betty L. Argo Met­zger

Mrs. Betty L. Argo Met­zger, 74, of Cov­ing­ton, died Jan. 29. The daugh­ter of the late Ed­ward and Beu­lah Han­cock, she was born in 1933 in Mont­gomery, Ala. She was pre­ceded in death by hus­bands Marvin P. Argo and Phillip Met­zger and son David Argo. Mrs. Met­zger owned and op­er­ated the Log Cabin restau­rant lo­cated at the Hub Junc­tion. She also worked many years at the Por­terdale Ho­tel restau­rant.

Sur­viv­ing are sons and daugh­ters-in-law Steve and Kay Argo of Snel­lville, Mike and Lind­sey Argo of So­cial Cir­cle; daugh­ter Deb­bie Call­away of Cov­ing­ton; sis­ters Janette John­son of Alabama, Bar­bara Nell Bed­ding­field of Louisianna, Bil­lie Ann Reynolds of Cal­i­for­nia; brother-in-law Doyle Argo of Ten­nessee; grand­chil­dren Blake Argo, Katie and Bill Dowis, Mitch Argo, Michael Argo, Chris Tuck, Mandi Tuck, Justin Call­away, Jor­dan Call­away; great-grand­chil­dren Emma Kate Dowis, Desti­nee Dowis, Ja­cob Dowis; sev­eral nieces and neph­ews. Funeral ser­vices will be held at 11 a.m. to­day, Feb. 1, in the chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home. In­ter­ment will be at 2 p.m. at Ge­or­gia Me­mo­rial Park, Ma­ri­etta.
