Denise B. Vin­ing

Mrs. Denise B. Vin­ing, 53, of Martinez, lov­ing wife of H. Hamp­ton Vin­ing Jr. en­tered into rest on Wed­nes­day, Feb. 6, at Trin­ity Hospice of Au­gusta.

An ex­pec­tant grand­mother, de­voted mother and home­maker, Mrs. Vin­ing was a 1976 grad­u­ate of the Univer­sity of Ge­or­gia with a ma­jor in early child­hood ed­u­ca­tion. She was a Sus­tain­ing Mem­ber of the Ju­nior League of Au­gusta, a mem­ber of the Columbia County Ju­ve­nile Court Cit­i­zen Panel Fos­ter Care Re­view and The Soil Sis­ters Gar­den Club as well as a mem­ber of the Columbia County Growth Man­age­ment Plan Cit­i­zen Ad­vi­sory Com­mit­tee and served on the Com­mis­sion Chair­man’s Res­i­den­tial Coun­cil. Mrs. Vin­ing was an an­i­mal lover, es­pe­cially of dogs. Her fam­ily al­ways had at least one. She also loved wild birds and cov­ered her back­yard with bird feed­ers and houses.

Sur­viv­ing are hus­band H. Hamp­ton Vin­ing Jr.; son Wesley Hamp­ton Vin­ing of Martinez; daugh­ters Kris­ten Michele Vin­ing of Martinez, Mar­garet El­iz­a­beth Vin­ing Nevils and hus­band Richard of Grove­town; sis­ter- in- law Linda Brady- Wil­liams and hus­band Larry of Fuquay Va­rina, N. C.; neph­ews Charles C. Brady III and wife Alisha of Ch­ester­field, Va., Andrew Glenn Brady and wife Jenny of Healy, Ark.; great- neph­ews, Charles C. Brady IV, Andrew Glenn Brady Jr., Matthew Thomas Brady, Ti­mothy Ryan Brady; great­niece Clara June Brady; and cousin Elaine B. Carsel. Mrs. Vin­ing was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents Charles C. Brady Sr. and Pearl Hardy Brady and brother Charles C. Brady, Jr.

A me­mo­rial ser­vice will be held at 2 p. m. on Mon­day, Feb. 11, at Reid Me­mo­rial Pres­by­te­rian Church with the Rev. Boyd Lien of­fi­ci­at­ing. In­ter­ment will fol­low at Westover Me­mo­rial Park. The fam­ily will re­ceive friends on Sun­day, Feb. 10 from 5 p. m. un­til 7 p. m. at Platt’s Funeral Home on Be­lair Road. In lieu of flow­ers, the fam­ily re­quests memo­ri­als be made to Reid Me­mo­rial Pres­by­te­rian Church, 2261 Wal­ton Way, Au­gusta, 30904 or The Columbia County Hu­mane So­ci­ety, P. O.
