Wheeler and Harwell funeral homes announced recently an expansion project in the works at the Harwell- Wheeler Funeral Home and Cremation Chapel.

The plans call for the construction of a Celebra- tion of Life Center that will accommodate approximately 60 people. The facility will be equipped with a full kitchen area complete with a refrigerator, warming oven, microwave, tables and chairs and an audio/ video system.

“ We at Wheeler and Harwell funeral homes are always looking for ways to improve our service to the community,” said owners of Harwell- Wheeler Funeral Home, Bill and Bob Wheeler. “ While serving the families of our community, we have noticed that there has been an increasing need for a place that family members and friends could gather to celebrate the life of their loved one after the funeral service.”

The facility will be available, also, to the families served by the Wheeler Funeral Home and Crematory.

The center will be available for families to bring food and other refreshments or have a gathering catered.

The project is expected to be complete by the end of summer 2008.
