AARP 55 Alive Driver Pro­gram

AARP will of­fer a class­room set­ting driver safety pro­gram from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on Feb. 23 and March 1 at Allen Me­mo­rial United Methodist Church, Lovern Fel­low­ship Hall. Two 4-hour ses­sions are re­quired, and cost is $10. Com­ple­tion of the course may en­ti­tle you to ap­ply for up to a 10 per­cent re­duc­tion on au­to­mo­bile in­sur­ance. Red Oak Bar­be­cue & Brunswick Stew

Fo­rum on Di­a­betes

Beth­le­hem Bap­tist Church, 2177 Usher Street, will host a fo­rum on di­a­betes from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with reg­is­tra­tion from 9 a.m. to 9:55 a.m. there will be in­for­ma­tion on nu­tri­tion, fit­ness, di­a­betes, care­givers and ju­ve­nile di­a­betes. African-Amer­i­can His­tory Fes­ti­val

One Voice will spon­sor an African Amer­i­can His­tory Fes­ti­val from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the New­ton County High School Porter Me­mo­rial Au­di­to­rium. The pub­lic is in­vited.
