Don­ald An­thony “ Tony” McClure, 66, of Pa­d­u­cah, Ky., died Feb. 23 at Cox Dun­bar Fam­ily Car Home. Mr. McClure was a na­tive of Cov­ing­ton and a grad­u­ate of the Univer­sity of Ge­or­gia. He was a mem­ber of Lone Oak First Bap­tist Church. Mr. McClure was a Duke of Pa­d­u­cah, a Ken­tucky colonel and a pro­fes­sor at Pa­d­u­cah Com­mu­nity Col­lege from 1974 to 2000. While at Pa­d­u­cah Com­mu­nity Col­lege, he served as ath­letic di­rec­tor, girls and boys bas­ket­ball coach and was named Men’s Bas­ket­ball Coach of the Year in the Sev­enth Re­gion in 1986. He was pre­ceded in death by par­ents Malvern San­ders McClure and Frances Duke McClure.

Sur­viv­ing are wife of 28 years Susan Court­ney McClure; daugh­ter Court­ney McClure Hamp­ton and hus­band Roger of In­done­sia; sons Melvin McClure of Pa­d­u­cah and Don­nie McClure of Albany; sis­ter Sally Mo­bely and hus­band Billy of Mon­roe; brother Jerry S. McClure and wife Ellen of Cov­ing­ton; brother- in- law Kevin Court­ney and wife Nancy; sis­ter- in­law Jane Wil­liams and hus- band Rick; and fa­ther- in­law Elvon Court­ney, all of Pa­d­u­cah; sev­eral nieces and neph­ews.

Funeral ser­vices were held Feb. 26 at Mil­nor & Orr Funeral Home with Dr. Dan Sum­mer­llin of­fi­ci­at­ing. In lieu of flow­ers, con­tri­bu­tions may be made to Lour­des Hospice, P. O.
