Ste­wart Bap­tist Preschool

Keep Cov­ing­ton/New­ton Beau­ti­ful is as­sem­bling a list of home own­ers’ as­so­ci­a­tions in New­ton County to pro­vide in­for­ma­tion to each com­mu­nity on up­com­ing com­mu­nity events, news re­leases/no­ti­fi­ca­tions and or­di­nance reg­u­la­tions. First Methodist Preschool En­roll­ment

First United Methodist Church of Cov­ing­ton has preschool open­ings for the 20082009 school years. The pro­gram pro­vides chil­dren with learn­ing ex­pe­ri­ences to pre­pare them for school while teach­ing them about the love of God. Classes are from 6 months through preK. Elks Bingo

The Cov­ing­ton Elks Lodge 1806, 135 Crow­ell Road, holds bingo be­gin­ning at 7 p.m. Mon­day and Thurs­day nights. It is a smoke free en­vi­ron­ment. Call (770) 787-9499 for in­for­ma­tion.

Flu Shots Avail­able

The New­ton County Health Cen­ter has re­ceived its sup­ply of flu vac­cine. Flu shots will be given on a walk in ba­sis from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tues­day, Wed­nes­day and Fri­day and from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mon­day and Thurs­day. Cost is $20 with pay­ment by credit card, debit card or Med­i­caid or Medi­care.
