Hol­lis Pitts Jr.

Hol­lis Pitts Jr. died Feb. 15. The son of Mrs. Em­mis Pitts and the late Mr. Hol­lis Pitts, he was born in 1947 in New­ton County. He ac­cepted Christ at an early age, join­ing Pleas­ant View Bap­tist Church. He was ed­u­cated in the New­ton County School Sys­tem where he de­vel­oped a love for busi­ness.

Mr. Pitts at­tended the Univer­sity of Toledo and be­came a cer­ti­fied tech­ni­cian for re­frig­er­ant han­dling. He was also reg­is­tered as a Con­di­tioned Air Con­trac­tor, Class II, by the state of Ge­or­gia.

Mr. Pitts was the proud and ded­i­cated owner of Pitts Heat­ing and Air in Cov­ing­ton for over 38 years. He was pre­ceded in death by sis­ter Mary Pitts.

Sur­viv­ing are wife San­dra Pitts; mother Em­mis Pitts of Cov­ing­ton; mother- in- law Bar­nette Law, Mo­bile, Ala.; daugh­ters Trice ( Ash­ley) McIn­tyre, Mont­gomery, Ala., Crys­tal Pitts, Cal­i­for­nia; son An­thony Darty, Cov­ing­ton; step­sons Brett ( Ann) Ri­ley, Cony­ers, Ron­ald ( Stephanie) Ri­ley, McDonough; brothers Harry Well­born, Wil­lie Rogers and Jerome Pitts, all of Cov­ing­ton; grand­chil­dren Cole­man and Ni­cholas McIn­tyre, Mont­gomery, Jeremiah Ri­ley, Cony­ers, Elisha and Kaleb Ri­ley, McDonough; brothers- in- law Leo Reed Jr., Stan­ley Reed, Eu­gene Reed of Decatur, Johnathan ( Almisha) Reed of For­est Park, Timeatheous Reed of Mo­bile, Ala.; sis­ters- in­law Lil­lian ( Jesse) Smith of Decatur, Rhonda ( Ar­ric) Mar­shall of Mo­bile, Onica Reed of Litho­nia; god­mother Ruth Heard; de­voted friends Bar­bara Cobb Brock and Jack Mad­dox; a host of aunts, un­cles, nieces, neph­ews, cousins and friends.

Funeral ser­vices were held at 2 p. m. Feb. 24 at Mace­do­nia Mis­sion­ary Bap­tist Church with the Rev. Carl­ton D. Mathis of­fi­ci­at­ing.

In­ter­ment fol­lowed in Lawn­wood Me­mo­rial Park.
