Sonya Stephen­son Tuck

Sonya Stephen­son Tuck of Ox­ford died March 8 at New­ton Med­i­cal Cen­ter at the age of 45. She was a mem­ber of First Bap­tist Church in So­cial Cir­cle, loved play­ing soft­ball, cook­ing, bird watch­ing, tak­ing care of her house plants and her dog, Max. Sonya loved her fel­low res­i­dents at Mer­ry­vale As­sisted Liv­ing where she en­joyed be­ing a mem­ber of the Mer­ry­vale Red Hat So­ci­ety and play­ing Bingo. She will be re­mem­bered as a de­voted wife, mother, daugh­ter, sis­ter and friend to many. Sonya is pre­ceded in death by her fa­ther, Jack Lewis Stephen­son Sr.; sis­ter Tanya Stephen­son Con­naughton; fa­ther-in-law Larry Tuck.

Sur­viv­ing are hus­band Chris Tuck; daugh­ters and son-in-law Christy and Justin Ed­mond­son, Caitlin Tuck; grand­son Christo­pher Ed­mond­son, all of Ox­ford; mother El­iz­a­beth Stephen­son; brother and sis­terin-law J. Lewis Jr. and Mandy Stephen­son, all of Cov­ing­ton; grand­mother Frances Poole of Ox­ford; mother-in-law and step fa­ther-in-law Don and Delores Vin­cent; brothers-in-law and sis­ters-in-law Mike and Tra­cie McCrorey and Dane and Amanda Smith, all of Ox­ford, Dar­ryl and Julie Tuck of Cov­ing­ton; nu­mer­ous aunts, un­cles, cousins, nieces and neph­ews.

Funeral ser­vices for Sonya will be held at 2 p.m., Tues­day March, 11 at the Chapel of Cald­well and Cowan, lo­cated at 1215 Ac­cess Road with Rev. William C. Trib­ble of­fi­ci­at­ing and in­ter­ment fol­low­ing in Lawn­wood Me­mo­rial Park. The fam­ily will re­ceive friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Mon­day. In lieu of flow­ers, do­na­tions may be made to the ed­u­ca­tion for her daugh­ter, Caitlin Tuck, at New­ton Fed­eral Bank. For in­for­ma­tion call (770) 786-7088.
