Linder energy town hall

The Covington News - - Local News -

Rep. John Linder (R-GA) has scheduled his second telephoneTown Hall meeting for 2008. The Town Hall call-in is scheduled from 7:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18. Unlike Linder’s previous tele-town halls, this one will focus solely on energy needs and the difficult decisions facing the nation in addressing those needs.

Representative Linder’s district encompasses Gwinnett, Walton, and Barrow Counties as well as the northern portion of Newton County and a small portion of Forsyth County.

“Energy independence has been a topic of discussion for decades, but now we find ourselves in a position where we must act,” Linder said. “With rising gas prices and the ripple effect we see already, Congress must act on a plan that will ensure energy security for America. That is why I have chosen to focuses this meeting solely on energy. It is important for us to have an honest discussion, to hear your views and ideas, and to share with you my vision for an energy independent United States.”

If you would like to join Congressman Linder on Tuesday, March 18, simply call toll free, (888) 989-6513, at 7:30 pm with the passcode, “Linder Town Hall,” and you will be placed immediately into the call.
