The Ge­or­gia Pride foot­ball team is un­der­go­ing a search for qual­ity play­ers, par­tic­u­larly of­fen­sive line­men, in­clud­ing coaches to add to its staff for the up­com­ing sea­son.

The Pride, which is 20-6 over­all over the past two years, is look­ing for yet an­other cham­pi­onship run to com­pli­ment its pre­vi­ous 2006 ti­tle.

GOLF East­side boys win two

The East­side High boys var­sity golf team picked up two more wins Wed­nes­day af­ter de­feat­ing Clarke Cen­tral, 162205, and North Oconee, 162170, at Jen­nings Mill Coun­try Club.

Coached by Jay Cawthon, the Ea­gles (12-1 over­all) were led by Tay­lor Smith, who shot a 39.

Tate Miller and Ace Cook each shot 40, while J.T. Blaker shot a 43.

East­side will next visit Her­itage Mon­day at Honey Creek Golf Club.
