NHS Bas­ket­ball Ban­quet

On the girls team Deb­bie Wi­ley won for Sports­man­ship, Melody Parker Most Valu­able Player, Judy Clay Most Ef­fort and Jackie Matthews Most Im­proved. For the boys, Bubba Hill won Most Im­proved, Thad Blanken­ship Sports­man­ship, Richard Allen Most Valu­able Player, Terry Schell Most Ef­fort and Phil Shaw Best De­fen­sive Player.

Cousins Stu­dents Give Demon­stra­tion

Un­der the di­rec­tion of As­so­ci­ate county Ex­ten­sion Home Economists Lot­tie B. John­son, Griselda Kelly, San­dra Ste­wart and Vi­vian Sawyers pre­sented a demon­stra­tion to the PTA.

Band to Hold Dress Re­hearsal

Basil Rigney, Band Di­rec­tor of the Blue Ram­bler Band of New­ton County, will hold a dress re­hearsal at Sharp Field to pre­pare for the band’s par­tic­i­pa­tion in the Cherry Blos­som Fes­ti­val in Wash­ing­ton, D.C.
