Bed­ding Plant Sale

The Al­covy Hor­ti­cul­ture De­part­ment will hold its first spring plant sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Plants on sale in­clude hang­ing bas­kets of ferns, petu­nias, wan­der­ing Jew and gera­ni­ums and bed­ding plants of salvia, im­pa­tiens, be­go­nias and lan­tana. Bas­kets are $10 and trays are $6 for 36 plants.

Yard Sale for Re­lay for Life

The Amer­i­can Can­cer So­ci­ety will hold a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mt. Pleas­ant United Methodist Church, U.S. High­way 278 and Ga. High­way 229, So­cial Cir­cle.

Spring But­ter­fly Hike

Join a park ranger on a trip up Oanola Moun­tain dur­ing the time of year when many flow­ers are in bloom and but­ter­flies like hairstreaks and ze­bra swal­low­tails abound from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. $5 per par­tic­i­pant.

Pho­tog­ra­pher’s Evening Out

Af­ter a brief over­view of where to go and what to look for, pho­tog­ra­phers and artists will have the op­por­tu­nity to paint, draw, sketch and pho­to­graph the moun­tain area and its pho­to­genic land­scapes from 6 p.m. to dusk. $5 per par­tic­i­pant.

Elec­tron­ics & Paint Re­cy­cling
