Mas­sa­nari helps Ge­or­gia to 6-4 win over Clem­son

CLEM­SON, S.C.— Bryce Mas­sa­nari’s sin­gle in the sev­enth in­ning put Ge­or­gia ahead for good as the Bull­dogs beat Clem­son 6-4 onWed­nes­day night.

Ge­or­gia (17-10) won both games of this week’s home-andhome se­ries with the Tigers (1810).

Clem­son led 4-2 af­ter four in­nings, but Adam Fuller tied the game with a two run homer in the fifth, and RBI sin­gles by Mas­sa­nari and Lyle Allen put the Bull­dogs ahead 6-4.

Ben Paulsen went 2-for-4 for the Tigers, in­clud­ing a two-run homer in the third.

Steve Es­monde (1-0) pitched two in­nings of score­less re­lief for the win, while Joshua Fields struck out two in the ninth to earn his sev­enth save for Ge­or­gia.
