Martha Ann Green, 72, of Cov­ing­ton, died April 12 at Abbey Hospice. Mrs. Green was pre­ceded in death by par­ents John Oliver and Ruby Pear­son Harper. She was a multi- faceted mem­ber of Shiloh United Methodist Church for 64 years and taught Sun­day school for 60 years. Mrs. Green worked for 25 years as an in­sur­ance agent with Frank Mal­com and As­so­ciates. She lived a life of ex­em­plary giv­ing and was a lov­ing and de­voted mother, grand­mother and friend.

Sur­viv­ing are daugh­ters and son- in- law Lisa Karen and Grady Simp­son of Toc­coa, Linda Green Richard­son of Cov­ing­ton; grand­chil­dren Zachery Richard­son and Ja­cob Richard­son of Cov­ing­ton, Kim­berly Hamil­ton and Ray­mond Hamil­ton of Toc­coa, Jeff Simp­son of Athens; great­grand­chil­dren Cole Hamil­ton and Caro­line Hamil­ton of Toc­coa; brother and sis­ter- in- law Luke and Kath­leen harper, Fayet­teville; best friend Bobby Green; sev­eral nieces and neph­ews.

Funeral ser­vices were held at 3 p. m. April 15 in the Floyd Street chapel of Cald­well & Cowan with the Rev. Mike Nikolich, the Rev. Roy­eese Stowe and the Rev. Lester Cowan of­fi­ci­at­ing. In­ter­ment was at Cov­ing­ton City Ceme­tery. Flow­ers are ac­cept­able or do­na­tions may be made to Shiloh United Methodist Church build­ing Fund, 10 Al­mon Church Road, Cov­ing­ton, 30014.
