Moylan may be out until end of season for Braves
MIAMI— Atlanta Braves reliever PeterMoylan will undergo another two weeks of treatment on his injured right elbowbut may require season-ending reconstructive surgery, the team said Thursday.
An examinationWednesday determined that a bone spur is pressing against a ligament in Moylan’s elbow. He’ll be re-evaluated after further treatment.
Moylan pitched 90 innings in 80 games as a rookie last year and had an ERA of 1.80. He pitched in seven games this season with an ERA of 1.59 before going on the disabled list Tuesday.
