Carl Ben­jamin Dozier Jr.

Carl Ben­jamin Dozier Jr., 59, of Cov­ing­ton, died April 26 at St. Joseph’s Hospi­tal, At­lanta. The son of the late Carl B. Dozier Sr., he was a self-em­ployed roof re­pairer for 30 years, dur­ing which time he sub­con­tracted with Re­li­able Roof­ing of At­lanta for 20 years. Mr. Dozier was a mem­ber of Fam­ily Wor­ship Cen­ter and en­joyed fish­ing. He was a very lov­ing hus­band, fa­ther, grand­fa­ther and friend. He was a very spe­cial son-in-law.

Sur­viv­ing are his wife Pa­tri­cia D. Dozier; daugh­ters Carolyn An­nette Dozier, Julie Ful­ton, both of Cony­ers, and Amy Ful­ton of At­lanta; sons Carl B. Dozier III of Jack­son, John T. Scott, Steven D. Scott, Ja­cob R. Scott and Ti­mothy Scott, all of Cov­ing­ton; 17 grand­chil­dren; mother Shirley Mae Dozier of High Falls; sis­ters Amy Spain of Alabama, Teresa Mul­li­nax, Sheila Trim­ble, Cyn­thia Ham­mond, all of Cum­ming; brothers Jerry Wayne Dozier of Val­dosta, Bobby Dozier, Leroy Dozier, Michael Dozier, all of High Falls; mother-in-law Mary Mann of Cov­ing­ton; nu­mer­ous nieces and neph­ews; best friends David and Kelly Carter of Cov­ing­ton; lov­ing aunt Betty Carter of Cov­ing­ton.

Funeral ser­vices will be held at 2 p.m. to­day, April 30, in the Ac­cess Road chapel of Cald­well & Cowan with Pas­tor Charles Har­vey and the Rev. Den­nis Whit­ley of­fi­ci­at­ing. In­ter­ment will fol­low in Shiloh Methodist Ceme­tery.
