The Pois­son fam­ily re­cently ex­pe­ri­enced tragedy and is fac­ing nu­mer­ous med­i­cal chal­lenges, and a trust fund has been set up for any do­na­tions to as­sist with med­i­cal ex­penses.

Bobby Pois­son, 41, of Cov­ing­ton, died on Sept. 22 in a mo­tor­cy­cle ac­ci­dent in the early morn­ing hours on Ga. High­way 138 and McDonough Road.

He is sur­vived by his wife, Trina, who has Type II di­a­betes, kid­ney prob­lems and has pre­vi­ously suf­fered sev­eral strokes.

Their 1-year-old daugh­ter, Bri­anna, has un­der­gone three open-heart surg­eries and is ex­pe­ri­enc­ing seizures and kid­ney prob­lems.

Also sur­viv­ing are daugh­ters Carissa, 20, Hope, 17, and Alexis, 9.

A trust fund for the Pois­sons has been set up at the United Com­mu­nity Bank in Cov­ing­ton (9100 Cov­ing­ton By­pass SE, Cov­ing­ton, Ga. 30014). Do­na­tions for the fam­ily are wel­come there, and elec­tronic funds can be wired to the United Com­mu­nity Bank at 63 High­way 515, Blairsville, Ga., 30512.
