his team is but knows they still have work to do, especially as they head into the next two region games against Stephens County and Hart County.
“We had an easy practice yesterday but we will get ready as the week goes on,” he said. “We’ll keep working hard because we aren’t where we need to be yet.”
Alexander hopes to play football in college and says he has had some looks from several schools. Some of them are looking at him to be a linebacker but he prefers the offensive side of the ball. One thing is for sure, he has the size and speed to knock guys around regardless of position and he said he just wants to play.
“I have really concentrated on my running this year,” he said. “I haven’t played too much defense but I may as the season goes on and my conditioning improves.”
Alexander said the goal is to win a state championship. Regardless of where or how much he plays, the senior running back wants to do whatever it takes to win.
“I’ll do whatever the coaches ask me to do,” He said. “We are all a close group and I feel like that’s what has helped us so far. We all want to win a championship.
