his team is but knows they still have work to do, es­pe­cially as they head into the next two re­gion games against Stephens County and Hart County.

“We had an easy prac­tice yes­ter­day but we will get ready as the week goes on,” he said. “We’ll keep work­ing hard be­cause we aren’t where we need to be yet.”

Alexan­der hopes to play foot­ball in col­lege and says he has had some looks from sev­eral schools. Some of them are looking at him to be a line­backer but he prefers the of­fen­sive side of the ball. One thing is for sure, he has the size and speed to knock guys around re­gard­less of po­si­tion and he said he just wants to play.

“I have re­ally con­cen­trated on my run­ning this year,” he said. “I haven’t played too much de­fense but I may as the sea­son goes on and my con­di­tion­ing im­proves.”

Alexan­der said the goal is to win a state cham­pi­onship. Re­gard­less of where or how much he plays, the se­nior run­ning back wants to do what­ever it takes to win.

“I’ll do what­ever the coaches ask me to do,” He said. “We are all a close group and I feel like that’s what has helped us so far. We all want to win a cham­pi­onship.
