New­ton Knights sweep Fall Clas­sic

The 12U AAA New­ton Knights swept the com­pe­ti­tion in the USSSA Fall Clas­sic tour­na­ment held in Mor­row on Septem­ber 27th and 28th. play­ing in only three tour­na­ments.

“Th­ese kids have come to­gether quicker than any other team I have coached,” said coach Terry Bal­lard.

“We are ex­pect­ing great things in the Spring 2009 sea­son,” added coach Ja­son Beggs.

The New­ton Knights team mem­bers are Hunter Bal­lard, Zach Beggs, Allen Bowen, David Chabut, Hunter J.J. Sax­ton, C.J. Sims, Jared Sum­ner team are Mark Clark, Terry Bal­lard and Ja­son Beggs.

Every­one played a part in the suc Sum­ner, Sax­ton and Beggs each had two home runs in the tour­na­ment while Bowen added one.

The Knights pitch­ing shut the op­pos­ing teams down with an over­all Beggs and Bowen all took turns on the mound as they shared pitch­ing re­spon­si­bil­i­ties.
