Rams look to move to .500, take on MLK

New­ton looks to avenge a 47-12 thrash­ing it took at the hands of MLK last year when the Rams wel­come the Lions to Sharp Sta­dium tonight at 7:30 p.m.

The Rams come into tonight’s game rid­ing the emo­tion of a 42-36 over­time win over Redan on the road Fri­day. With two wins at the mid­point of the sea­son, New­ton has al­ready eclipsed last year’s win to­tal. Coach Nick Collins hopes his team will re­spond and de­feat an MLK Coaches: MLK, Corey Jarvis; New­ton, Nick Collins Records: MLK (4-1, 2-0) Re­gion 2AAAAA); New­ton (2-3, 1-1) Last week: MLK, de­feated Dou­glass 41-26, New­ton de­feated Redan 42-36 (OT) Pre­dic­tion: MLK, The Rams come into this game with some­thing to prove. They have been in ev­ery game this year and have given up big plays at the wrong times. If New­ton can limit the big play, it has a chance to steal a win. MLK has tremendous speed and will be tough to stop.
