Charles F. (Chuck) Adamson

Charles F. (Chuck) Adamson, of Cony­ers, died Oc­to­ber 17, 2008, at Rock­dale Med­i­cal Cen­ter, at the age of 73. Son of the late William Otis, Sr. and Anna Lois Jones Adam­som, he was a U. S. Navy vet­eran and a re­tired ser­vice tech­ni­cian from South­ern Bell. Mr. Adamson was the sev­enth child, of the sev­enth child, of the sev­enth child, and each of his names had seven let­ters. He was a mem­ber of Prospect United Methodist Church, V.F.W. Post #5290 in Cony­ers, Chris­tian Mo­tor­cy­clist As­so­ci­a­tion (Grace Rid­ers), XYZ Se­nior Group, and AARP of Cov­ing­ton.

Sur­vivors in­clude his wife, Em­mie Field Adamson of Cony­ers; daugh­ter and son-in­law, An­drea (Cissy) and Mike Ben­ton of New­born, sons and daugh­ters-in-law, Chuck and Laura Adamson of Cony­ers, Don­nie and Lori Adamson of Mans­field; step­son, Jimmy Rider of Huntsville, NC, step­daugh­ter and step­son-in-law, Tam­mie and Greg Doo­ley of Cony­ers; grand­chil­dren, Sa­muel, Matthew, and Daniel Ben­ton, Lacy Adamson, Wes­ley and Rachel Doo­ley, Cameron, Ans­ley and Emily Rider; many nieces and neph­ews.

Fu­neral ser­vices for Mr. Adamson will be held at 3 p.m. to­day, Oct. 19 at the chapel of Cald­well & Cowan, 1215 Ac­cess Road, with Rev. Ronny Bran­nen and Rev. Larry Scha­ef­fer of­fi­ci­at­ing with in­ter­ment fol­low­ing in Fairview Memo­rial Gar­dens in Stock­bridge. Flow­ers are ac­cepted or do­na­tions may be made to Prospect United Methodist Church or des­ig­nated for Run for the Son Chris­tian Mo­tor­cy­clists As­so­ci­a­tion.
