Po­lice ar­rest woman for fraud, forgery

Ar­restee faces 9 counts

Of­fi­cers with the Cov­ing­ton Po­lice Depart­ment ar­rested Lisa Eileen Jack­son Dec. 17 af­ter au­thor­i­ties dis­cov­ered a war­rant for her ar­rest from Ful­ton County for fraud and sev­eral pieces of fraud­u­lent iden­ti­fi­ca­tions and checks were found in her ve­hi­cle. Jack­son faces nine counts of sec­ond­de­gree forgery in New­ton County.

Ac­cord­ing to the in­ci­dent re­port, the of­fi­cer stopped Jack­son for fail­ing to sig­nal when she pulled in front of him on Ac­cess Road in front of Ginn Mo­tor Com­pany and a run of her tag re­vealed she had no in­sur­ance.

When the of­fi­cer pulled her over, she could not show proof of in­sur­ance and a li­cense check un­cov­ered she had a fail­ure to ap­pear war­rant from Ful­ton County for fraud.

While search­ing her ve­hi­cle, the of­fi­cer found three fake li­censes — one from South Carolina and two from Con­necti­cut. All three had iden­ti­cal pho­tos of Jack­son.

The of­fi­cer also found a check­book in the car with six checks — four drawn on Green­point Bank in New York and two drawn on First Union Na­tional of Ge­or­gia. The check holder’s names matched the names on the
