“Like I said, our de­fense has been car­ry­ing us,” Brown said. “We have been play­ing well de­fen­sively. Ev­ery­body is ro­tat­ing to where they are sup­posed to be. We are star­ing to un­der­stand where we need to be on the floor and we have ex­e­cuted well the past three or four games.”

Af­ter scor­ing 20 points against Franklin County on Tues­day, Al­covy held Robin­son to just nine. La­ti­more led the way with 13 points for East­side.

On the flip side, Miller had an­other solid all-around game, record­ing 13 points and 10 re­bounds while block­ing four shots and record­ing three steals.

“He is def­i­nitely go­ing to be a valu­able weapon for us as the sea­son goes on,” Brown said of Miller. “We haven’t had a post pres­ence in the three years that we’ve been here so it has taken some time to get used to pass­ing him the ball in­side and they are start­ing to un­der­stand that we are go­ing to need more of that later on.”
