the Dunkin' Donuts on Ga. Highway 20 in Covington.

According to the incident report and verified by the manager in the store at the time of the incident, just before closing, a masked man entered the restaurant. The robber grabbed the only customer in the store and put a gun to the customer’s head. The perpetrator ordered the two employees on duty to turn the lights off, lock the door and empty the cash register.

The employees complied and the robber escaped on foot with the money. Authorities later learned the robber may have escaped in a blue Honda that was waiting for him in the nearby Kroger parking lot.
