UGA, Tech waive fee for ath­letic event Web casts for mil­i­tary per­son­nel

“I am de­lighted both the Uni­ver­sity of Ge­or­gia and Ge­or­gia Tech are once again pro­vid­ing free In­ter­net broad­casts of their ath­letic events for our na­tion’s mil­i­tary he­roes,” said Sen. Dou­glas. “I hope that this ser­vice will help boost the morale of our sol­diers who give end­lessly so that we might en­joy th­ese games.”

This ser­vice was an ini­tia­tive of Se­na­tor Dou­glas in 2006 af­ter he vis­ited with troops along the U.S.–Mex­ico bor­der who wished to ac­cess their alma mater’s games but were de­terred by the costs. The ser­vice has been of­fered for the past three years.

Mil­i­tary per­son­nel wish­ing to ac­cess Bull­dog games can do so by vis­it­ing­or­ Click on the Mul­ti­me­dia tab and fol­low the in­struc­tions for mil­i­tary lis­ten­ers. Any­one with a U.S. mil­i­tary e-mail that ends in “.mil” will be able, af­ter an ap­pli­ca­tion process, to lis­ten to the UGA sport­ing events.
