Woman at­tempts to rob bank

she sim­ply walked out of the bank. Wagstaff said she ap­par­ently did not have a weapon. Bank em­ploy­ees then called law en­force­ment.

Wit­nesses could not pro­vide a ve­hi­cle de­scrip­tion, but shortly af­ter the in­ci­dent a car was stopped on In­ter­state 20 based on the de­scrip­tion wit­nesses had given of the sus­pect. The car proved to be un­re­lated.

“ We’re still look­ing for her at this time,” Wagstaff said. “ In­ves­ti­ga­tors are work­ing on it.”

An un­armed woman en­tered the United Bank in Newton Plaza on Thurs­day and passed the teller a note de­mand­ing money. When the teller re­fused, the woman walked out.
