Word on the Street

The Covington News - - The second front -

We asked:

What do you think of shortening the school week?

You said:

“How is cutting a day out of the school day going to help the budget in the long run? Education is one of the most important parts of society and they want to cut it down? I don’t agree with that. We need education to create a future of tax paying, income grossing individuals.” — Rebecca Mayo

“That is a long time for a little child to stay in school. But the upside of it would be that I really think that it would give our kids more education to keep up with for the rest of the week.” — Susan and Chuck Ozburn

“I really like the idea of a four day week. I think it would be a good way to save money without diminishing the value of education here in Newton County.” — Leah Carlisle
