Hands down, the best bang for your buck can be found at your public library! You can get fantastic books and access to a plethora of resources, but did you know you can also find DVDs, CDs, audio books, internet access including wi-fi, programs for the whole family, newspapers, magazines, and much much more? The public library is a great place for your family and your tax dollars already pay for it, so why not take full advantage of all it has to offer you? Here’s my breakdown of what I get at our public library each week and how much it would cost elsewhere:

Borrowing 10 to 20 movies/ Renting 10 to 20 movies

FREE at the library/ $ 10 to $ 20 elsewhere

Borrowing 10 to 25 books/ Buying 10 to 25 books

FREE at the library/ $ 25 to $ 169 elsewhere

Reading 5 magazines/ Buying 5 magazines

FREE at the library/ $ 34 elsewhere

Attending Story Time, Manga Club, Knitting Club, Movie Night, Craft Classes, etc.

FREE at the library/ $ 200 elsewhere

Just based on the figures above, I am getting between $ 285 and $ 434 worth of entertainment and resources each and every week at my public library. The Newton County Public Library now has three locations! You can find out all about them at www. newton. public. lib. ga. us.
