Mary Ann Cox

Mary Ann Cox, 78, of Cov­ing­ton, passed away March 15. Mrs. Cox loved read­ing, sewing, trav­el­ing and work­ing with her roses in her gar­den. She loved mu­sic, and es­pe­cially en­joyed play­ing the pi­ano.

She was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents Homer Eu­gene and Shirley Josephine (Reynolds) May­field.

Sur­vivors in­clude her hus­band Robert “Bobby” Cox of Cov­ing­ton; daugh­ter and son-in-law Lau­rie and John Hines of Ox­ford; son and daugh­ter-in-law Duane and Bar­bara Cox of Cov­ing­ton; daugh­ter and son-in-law Beth and David Dozier of Can­ton; grand­chil­dren Re­nee Cox, Matthew Hines, Nathan Hines, Jor­dan John­son, Ma­son Dozier; great­grand­son Luke Hines.

A me­mo­rial ser­vice for Mrs. Cox will be held at 2 p.m. Sun­day, March 18, at Cony­ers Church of Christ, 1410 Flat Shoals Road SE, in Cony­ers.

Bill Rut­ledge

Bill Rut­ledge, 40, of Mans­field, passed away March 14.

Bill and his wife Leigh are own­ers and op­er­a­tors of Rut­ledge Air Ser­vices Inc. He is loved, and will be greatly missed by his fam­ily and many friends. Bill was pre­ceded in death by his fa­ther J.W. Rut­ledge.

Bill is sur­vived by his lov­ing wife Leigh Rut­ledge; sons Wil­liam and River Rut­ledge and daugh­ter Nancy Rut- ledge, all of Mans­field; mother Becky Rut­ledge; sis­ter and brother-in-law Kim and Jerry El­more; grand­par­ents WK and Mary Lunsford, all of Cov­ing­ton; sev­eral aunts and un­cles; two nieces and one nephew.

Fu­neral ser­vices for Bill will be held at 3 p.m. Sun­day, March 18, at Cov­ing­ton First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Dou­glas Gil­reath, the Rev. Jan Mccoy and the Rev. Brad Rut­ledge of­fi­ci­at­ing, and in­ter­ment fol­low­ing in Cov­ing­ton City Ceme­tery.

The fam­ily will re­ceive friends at Cald­well & Cowan Fu­neral Home, 1215 Ac­cess Road, in Cov­ing­ton, from 5 to 8 p.m. to­day, March 16, and from 5 to 8 p.m. Satur­day, March 17.
