Soft­ball

Dal­las Hardin, Al

covy — Had one walk in one at bat dur­ing Mis­sis­sippi’s 8-4 loss to No. 11 Ge­or­gia Fri­day. She also had two strike­outs and a put out from right field in a 9-0 loss in the other game of Ole Miss’ dou­ble­header with Ge­or­gia.

Holly Springer,

New­ton — The Emanuel Col­lege first base­man, and for­mer ten­nis player, went 0 for 3 with two strike­outs in a 6-0 loss to Bre­nau on Satur­day. Springer was also 0 for 3 in a 41 loss in the first game of the dou­ble header. Springer had two hits in two wins over Truett-mccon­nell Col­lege on Wed­nes­day.

Cha­conna Marks,

New­ton — Was named to the 2012 Pre­sea­son All-con­fer­ence Soft­ball Team from Al­bany State. In 2011 Marks led the Lady Rams with 11 home runs and 60 RBI. She bat­ted .422 with a team-lead­ing 70 hits and scored 44 runs for the Lady Rams.

Base­ball

Tay­lor Jack­son,

Al­covy — Is one of three play­ers to start 26 games for An­drew Col­lege. Is hit­ting .272 with 22 hits, nine dou­bles and 11 RBI.

Beau Thomas, Al

covy — The left handed-pitcher has started eight games for An­drew Col­lege, go­ing 3-5 with one com­plete game. He has thrown 28 strike­outs with bat­ters hit­ting .268 against him. Of­fen­sively, Thomas is hit­ting .222 with two hits, two runs and two RBI.

Michael Aven­tu­rato,

Al­covy — Had two RBI for Point Univer­sity dur­ing a three-game sweep over Virginia In­ter­mont on March 9-10.
