Dawkins wins Ge­or­gia Gran Prix

Alan Dawkins won the six-race Ge­or­gia Cy­cling Gran Prix, which ended Sun­day in New­ton County.

Amos Har­vey fin­ished sec­ond, An­drew Sch­luck third and Brod­er­ick Hart­ley fourth and Kurt Wag­ner fifth in the sixth-an­nual race.

Dawkins, who had an elapsed time of 8:33:30.886, raced in the Gran Prix with­out a team, as well as Sch­luck.

Har­vey fin­ished in a time of 8:56:01.358.

The Ge­or­gia Gran Prix had four races in New­ton County, start­ing with the Ox­ford Hills Road Race on Fri­day.

The event then moved to the New­ton County Time Trial and Down­town Cov­ing­ton Cir­cuit on Satur­day.

On Sun­day, the race fin­ished with the New­ton County Cir­cuit Race.
