Dawkins wins Georgia Gran Prix
Alan Dawkins won the six-race Georgia Cycling Gran Prix, which ended Sunday in Newton County.
Amos Harvey finished second, Andrew Schluck third and Broderick Hartley fourth and Kurt Wagner fifth in the sixth-annual race.
Dawkins, who had an elapsed time of 8:33:30.886, raced in the Gran Prix without a team, as well as Schluck.
Harvey finished in a time of 8:56:01.358.
The Georgia Gran Prix had four races in Newton County, starting with the Oxford Hills Road Race on Friday.
The event then moved to the Newton County Time Trial and Downtown Covington Circuit on Saturday.
On Sunday, the race finished with the Newton County Circuit Race.
