Man charged in drive-in theater killing in­dicted

DE­CATUR (AP) — A DeKalb County grand jury has in­dicted a 32-year-old man charged in a fatal shoot­ing at a drive-in movie theater in At­lanta.

The DeKalb County dis­trict at­tor­ney’s of­fice on Tues­day an­nounced the in­dict­ment of Quen­tric Wil­liams. He’s charged in the May 15 death of 28-yearold Mitt Lenix.

Wil­liams faces charges in­clud­ing mal­ice murder, felony murder, ag­gra­vated as­sault, pos­ses­sion of a firearm by a con­victed felon, ag­gra­vated as­sault on a peace of­fi­cer, and flee­ing or at­tempt­ing to elude po­lice.

Au­thor­i­ties have said Lenix was ap­par­ently hav­ing car trou­ble at the Starlight Drive-In Theater when he ap­proached Wil­liams for help. Po­lice said Wil­liams say Lenix and fled. Of­fi­cers chased Wil­liams’ ve­hi­cle un­til it crashed. Of­fi­cers lo­cated and ar­rested Wil­liams the next day.

It wasn’t im­me­di­ately known whether Wil­liams has an at­tor­ney.
