Man charged in drive-in theater killing indicted
DECATUR (AP) — A DeKalb County grand jury has indicted a 32-year-old man charged in a fatal shooting at a drive-in movie theater in Atlanta.
The DeKalb County district attorney’s office on Tuesday announced the indictment of Quentric Williams. He’s charged in the May 15 death of 28-yearold Mitt Lenix.
Williams faces charges including malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, aggravated assault on a peace officer, and fleeing or attempting to elude police.
Authorities have said Lenix was apparently having car trouble at the Starlight Drive-In Theater when he approached Williams for help. Police said Williams say Lenix and fled. Officers chased Williams’ vehicle until it crashed. Officers located and arrested Williams the next day.
It wasn’t immediately known whether Williams has an attorney.
